some other birthday celebration photos . . .

last thursday, the day before my birthday, was unseasonably warm.  it was 55 degrees outside which never happens in january!  we bundled up and headed outside for a family walk around the neighborhood.  it was glorious!!!

then for dinner we went to red robin to get my free birthday veggie burger through the rewards program.  it was noah's first time in a restaurant and he did great.  i certainly wouldn't rush to take him into a restaurant again any time soon.  we lucked out that we had the place to ourselves and no one else was there since it was an odd time on a weekday.  

it was a nice thursday!

on friday, we went down to my parents' house to celebrate my birthday.  we made some lemon pasta, shrimp, and broccoli for dinner and had yummy lime pie for dessert.  noah helped me open my presents too.  it was a nice calm birthday party.

festival of lights

we closed out december by taking a trip to see the festival of lights at stonehedge golf course the day before new year's eve.

we've heard about this display for years, but never got around to seeing it until this year.  we piled in the car and drove through millions of incredible lights.  noah was absolutely in awe and loved it!  at the end we were able to get out of the car to snap some photos.  such a neat experience!

we celebrated new year's eve on saturday at ryan's parents' house.  we got together to eat, of course, and play with noah and the kitties.

on sunday, we headed down to my parents' house to celebrate new year's day.  it was a nice way to ring in the new year!

11 years with leko

today marks 11 years since we adopted leko!!!  our hearts always burst on january 4th since it marks the day we brought our little fur baby home and we love him so much!  of course, he's going to be spoiled all week with extra kisses and tuna!  above are a few of the many, many pictures that we took of our lover this past year.

worn out

baby boy got worn out from a long fall show season!  the other morning ryan picked him up out of his bed and placed him in my arm in bed.  he was so cute how he fell asleep in the big bed.  what a doll!
