my birthday was on tuesday, and we took the day off work to celebrate.  while noah was in school, ryan and i spent the morning using lots of birthday rewards / freebies at some nearby stores.  we had lunch a mansour's market because we haven't been there in over 3 years, and then ryan booked me a deep tissue massage.  the massage was much needed because i haven't had one in over a decade and my body is sore!

after we picked up noah from school we went to my parents' house to celebrate with our family.  my mom made the most delicious dinner and dessert, then mr. noah helped open presents for me.  a few photos . . .

hello, 41.

today's my birthday.  i'm not sad to see 40 go.  i'm kicking it to the curb and screaming "don't let the door hit you on the way out!"

i had high hopes for 40 and was very much looking forward to it, but it disappointed in every way possible, and was by far the hardest year of my life.  i'm determined to make a change and 41 has to be better.

so, hello, 41.  welcome.

yesterday this little blog of mine turned 14 years old.  i'm not sure how it has been 14 years since i started this adventure back in 2011 on a whim.  i'm grateful for my little corner of the internet as a virtual scrapbook to chronicle the highlights of our lives.

this month our fur baby turns 14 years old.  i can't believe he was so tiny when we first brought him home.

a baby backpack leaf blower

for months and months, noah requested a "baby backpack leaf blower" so ryan and i knew that was what we had to get him for his birthday.  we finally found one that blows bubbles and bought it right away.  we gave it to noah earlier in the summer as a early birthday present so that he could use it outside in the yard during the warm summer weather.  it was a hit and he has been a big fan!

noah's lawn mowing and tractor themed 3rd birthday party!

we had a great time celebrating noah's 3rd birthday this weekend!  we had a lawn mowing and tractor themed party for our birthday boy and he was thrilled about it.  it was so nice to have everyone together to celebrate!

noah is 3!

noah turned 3 on thursday and it was a fun-filled day for the birthday boy!  he started off the day in his cute "i'm 3 and diggin' it" t-shirt and then had a morning ride on his drivable power-wheels tractor.  after nap, we all headed to lakeland orchard at the request of the birthday boy.  he had a lot of fun showing his grandmas and grandpas around his favorite place.  after we left, we came home and had pizza on the back deck and he opened presents from mama and papa.  i can't believe he's 3!
