blueberry picking and playing at lakeland orchard

in addition to picking sunflowers at lakeland on saturday, we also picked some blueberries for grandma and grandpa to take home and we rode a bunch of rides.

we took a trip to lakeland on saturday to see the sunflowers in bloom.  noah was thrilled to find his favorite pink tractor back out in the sunflower field.  grandma and grandpa picked some sunflowers to take home too.

a family trip to the zoo

on sunday we took a trip to animal adventure zoo in new york with our family.  the last time we were there was on noah's first birthday, and it's really hard to believe that was almost 3 years ago.

we had a nice time visiting all of the animals and playing on the brand-new ropes course.  noah was particularly excited about the giraffe, bears, tigers, and kangaroos.  

on the drive home we stopped for dinner at bingham's restaurant and noah finished off the trip with a piece of pie for dessert.

blueberry picking at lakeland orchard

we headed up to lakeland orchard after school on friday to go blueberry picking.  i believe noah ate his weight in blueberries in the fields because he definitely ate more than he put in the container.  we managed to fill that container with so many incredibly fresh and gorgeous blueberries.

we're grateful that grandpa has a riding mower that we can borrow to cut our grass.  these two love it!

i'm jealous that they both get to sit down on the job while i have to walk behind the push mower!

last week was summer spirit week at school so there were lots of fun activities, including a day with water play on the playground!

a little getaway to great wolf lodge waterpark

noah has been asking us if he can sleep in a hotel.  (he has only ever spent the night in a hotel once in his life when we went to king of prussia last summer.)  so, we decided to book him a one night stay at great wolf lodge, because he enjoyed the waterpark so much when we went there once last year for a few hours.

we stayed over on sunday night, which meant we got to spend all day at the waterpark on sunday and monday.  noah loved it, mom and dad are worn out.  

he rode a ton of the bigger waterslides with us since he is taller now than he was last year.  he also loved the special "kid kamp" themed room that we got him.
