i've always loved swings, so it's no surprise that noah has been loving the swings at the park recently too!

a busy weekend at the theatre

this past weekend was a busy one at the theatre.  we had three events back-to-back: a speaking and book signing event with author mitch albom on thursday, a fleetwood mac tribute band on friday, penn state scranton's annual music concert on saturday, and some work onstage on sunday.

sometimes we all match outfits . . . like recently when we matched in black-and-white checkers to attend a goodbye party for a co-worker who is leaving for a new job.

noah's adventures in eating

we're not very good about feeding noah "real food" since we're so busy.  don't get me wrong, he has plenty of milk every day, but we have to carve out time to sit down with him and attempt to feed him in the highchair.  i know, i know . . . don't judge.  we have crazy schedules.

these photos are from all the way back in february when noah was having some oatmeal cereal.  of course, we have fed him since february, but we don't have many photos of it.  so far, he's tried oatmeal cereal, sweet potato, avocado, banana, and mango.  

i promise we'll get better about feeding him more soon!

spring flowers!

it was so nice to see these flowers popping up in our front flower bed right in time for easter.  i'm ready for consistent nice warm weather so that we can spend more time outside with noah!

easter sunday 2023

we spent easter sunday at ryan's parents' house with our family.  we ate, visited, admired the kitties, and then went to the park to enjoy the beautiful weather!

noah's first easter bunny hunt

we headed down to my parents' house the day before easter to visit and have noah's first easter bunny hunt.  my parents have always done a fun easter bunny hunt my whole life, so they wanted to pass down that tradition to noah as well.

he got into it and enjoyed going around the house looking for presents on the clue cards in different locations.  he really liked shredding the tissue paper and wrapping too!  he was a spoiled little man for sure.

7 months old!

noah turned 7 months old back on march 21st (i'm really behind with my photos).  he was such a cutie in this winnie the poo outfit which i got for only 50 cents at a yard sale when i was pregnant!

he was a happy and on-the-move little man when we tried to snap these photos.

noah's first time at the park!

last tuesday evening the weather was glorious . . . clear skies, sunshine, and warm temperatures.  we changed noah into a warm-weather outfit and put him in the stroller to head out for a walk around the neighborhood after dinner.  there is a park in walking distance from our house, so we went there for a bit for noah to experience his first park visit.  we took him on the swings and the slides.  he really enjoyed himself.  he especially enjoyed watching all of the other little kids play on the park equipment.  i'm looking forward to many more park visits this spring and summer!

tiny ball of kitty

i always love when leko curls up into a tight ball.  i especially love it when he does it on my lap or in bed with us.  he's such a lover!

tiny manicures

noah's nails grow so fast, it's really ridiculous.  i have to trim them and file them often, and it's not my favorite task.  the only successful way to do it is to wait until he falls asleep on my lap and is in a deep sleep.  i was doing his little manicure recently with the electric nail filer when he woke up, grabbed the filer, and decided he would do it himself.  tiny inspector had to inspect every inch of it.

leko knows how to find his light

leko rarely has any interest in playing with noah's toys, so i was surprised to find him loafed on noah's play mat the other day.  i guess i shouldn't have been too surprised though because that's where the perfect sun spot was for sunbathing!

king of the basket chair

ryan's mom snapped this picture of leko a couple of weeks ago.  leko sure does love cuddling up in a fleece blanket in the basket chair!  so cute!

what a character

this guy is really a character.  he's obsessed with his stacking cups and has been finding it fun to pull them off his feet recently.

he also loves to arch his back and give me a hard time when trying to feed him.  how is he so strong?!

we survived "jack and the beanstalk"

i can't even believe that after all of that hard work "jack and the beanstalk" is over.  i'm exhausted, but sad to see it go.  i put my heart into this show and really enjoyed it.  

we had a great time putting this children's theatre production together and i'm beyond thrilled with the outcome!

(and proud of this little guy too who was such a trooper during rehearsals and the show . . . and sat on headset like a boss telling us all what to do!)
