we took noah to see christmas lights around our area one night and it sure started out as a bust because half the lights in the park were out because of a rainstorm and the local "holiday house" was dark because the police had the street shut down for an incident. luckily the other local "christmas house" was open and we were able to show him the lights. we went through their (very muddy) walk-through display and noah sure enjoyed it!

this guy wants to do everything we do and he loves mimicking ryan. he saw ryan shaving so he needed to have the shaver too. (of course we removed the blade so he didn't cut himself!)

with noah running around, i don't get a chance to sit and have leko on my lap as much as i used to and boy do i miss it!
when i get a rare leko sit i sure do soak up every minute of it!
we celebrated the new year with our family with lots of meals and lots of running after noah.
we went to ryan's parents' house for lunch on new year's eve and later had dinner at our house on new year's eve. then we got together for more eating on new year's day for dinner at our house.

"hop" has been a favorite lately. recently hop had to join noah for some cheese and crackers. of course he needed a bib too just like noah.

i can't believe that today is my 40th birthday. i don't feel 40, that's for sure. i don't know where another year has gone.
of course the universe plopped this milestone birthday of mine on a monday (my least favorite day of the week) and mother nature decided to make it snow (my least favorite weather option). so needless to say, it will be a low-key day today. i need a raincheck for excitement.
