there's not usually a ton of excitement in the town where we live, but we sure got our fair share of excitement yesterday when a huge train carrying sand derailed right between our town's police station and ambulance station. our friend
travis who lives a few blocks from us got some photos of the disaster and our local news station got some
video. what's crazy is that the whole thing was caught on video from the police station's security camera. luckily, no one was hurt. it sure will take a while until the road is opened because they have to pick up the train cars, clean up the sand, and repair the steel train track.

Oh boy, never thought sometime like that would happen so close. The train was probably going slow in that area too. I wonder what made it derail.
