aloha!

for as long as i can remember, i have wanted to go to hawaii.  for the past several years, we have looked into vacationing in hawaii, but it never worked out.  earlier this year, we starting looking into hawaii flight and hotel options, and we came across a few really great deals.  everything came together, and we were able to finally plan our dream vacation to hawaii.

so . . . for the past week we have been on vacation in hawaii!!!

we decided to spend all of our time on the island of oahu.  we stayed right on waikiki beach at the aston waikiki beach hotel.  the view from our hotel room was unreal!  in addition to spending time in waikiki, we also traveled all over the island to enjoy everything that the island had to offer.  we crammed as much as we possibly could into our trip, and we sure did cover a lot of ground.

we just got back from our vacation, and we had an absolutely amazing time!  the whole trip really was a dream come true.  we were thrilled that my parents were able to join us too.  it was so great to share this experience with them.

we're still working on getting over our jet lag, and adjusting to the fact that it is just so darn cold here in pennsylvania.  where did the 80 degree weather and the palm trees go?

of course, we took a crazy amount of photos while we were in hawaii this past week.  so, this week i will be sharing some of the many, many pictures that we took.  get ready!

love, laurie

And we were also absolutely thrilled to be able to join you for this amazing experience in Hawaii. We never thought that we would ever be able to get back to this beautiful state again after our Honeymoon there in 1980. For this past week, the weather was perfect, the scenery was stunning, and it was nice to be traveling together to share the wonders of Hawaii. We certainly did cram a lot into this island visit!!
