as bon jovi sings . . . "woah, we're half way there!"
earlier this week marked 20 weeks so we celebrated with the only thing that seemed fitting: ben & jerry's "half baked" ice cream.
we also got to see baby's cute little profile and foot at our 20 week ultrasound!
on friday, our local philharmonic spent the day at the university where we work. ryan had a long day filled with the load in, workshops, master classes, rehearsal, the show, and loading out. he did a great job with the show! way to go, ryan!
i cannot resist this guy and his cuddles when we sit in bed to watch tv. he's the absolute best!

we were using an old bin to carry some things around from room to room and realized that we didn't know where leko went. we turned around to find that he claimed the bin as his new bed for the afternoon. what a silly kitten!
i was sitting in the glider chair the other day and leko jumped up on the chair with me. i thought it was so sweet that he was going to sit on my lap . . . nope! he walked around me, nestled his way between my back and the chair, and proceeded to kick me off with his feet! how rude!
when i got off the chair he looked up at me like he was king of the chair. mind you, he has never once sat in this chair in all the time we've owned it. i had to find another place to sit!
a few weeks ago, when i was reupholstering chairs, i mentioned that ryan and i were helping a student at the university with the set and lighting for her senior capstone show.
the show revolved around a confessional booth in a church so we helped piece together things for her to make a little set. we also had some fun with the lighting too to make it look like a church with stained glass windows.
it was fun to help her with her show and it turned out great!
i spy ryan way up high in the genie lift hanging backdrops. it's that time of year again! we're kicking off the three-month long spring dance recital season this week with a ballet production. pray for us!

on saturday we had a styx tribute band perform at the theatre called "best of times" and i'll be the first to admit that i didn't think i knew many styx songs. during the show, i realized that i did recognize several songs. it was a good show and the audience loved it!

happy friday and happy april! i'm not a fan of april fools day jokes/pranks at all, so i'm hoping that everyone is kind today. i'm hoping that mother nature stops playing jokes on us and finally commits to nice spring weather because i'm really sick of the colder winter-like weather. leko can't wait to get back out onto his screen porch!
