noah's hair is wild

noah's hair is wild and sometimes i feel the need to braid the top of it to tame it.  

he loves to put in my hair clips and wear my headbands, so he doesn't mind.  it all lasts only for a few seconds anyway!

sometimes this crazy loud cat quiets down and sleeps so peacefully for a moment so that we get a break from the constant yelling!

best seat in the house (again)

this kid really did have the best seat in the house again at a recent fleetwood mac concert at mom's theatre.  they were handing out light up wands to everyone in the audience, so of course a certain someone had one in his private balcony seating.  this 2 year old leads a unique life.

our first time at the trampoline park

we have been to different types of indoor play parks with noah, but we had never visited a trampoline park before.  we knew he would like it but they are usually both expensive and overrun with rough big kids.

our local sky zone was running a sale for discounted admission on easter monday so we thought we would try it out.  we practically had the place to ourselves and noah had a good time jumping all around!

noah loves easter hunts!

noah is really into easter hunts.  he did a hunt over at my parents' house for the easter holiday and got really into it.

now we've been hiding eggs at home nearly every day since!

we celebrated easter on sunday with our families at my parents' house.  we visited, had dinner and dessert, and chased noah around.

noah recently got a new tiny tool belt and he is in his glory wearing his tool belt and putting his tools in and out of it to fix everything!

noah's easter egg hunt

we took noah to a local egg hunt on saturday and he had a great time!

he picked up 9 eggs and was really pleased with himself.  it was at a play ground that we have never been to before, so he enjoyed checking out the slides.  after the egg hunt was over, we got to meet the easter bunny.  he was so excited to meet the bunny until it was our turn and then he got scared, but after it was over he was glad he meet him and kept talking about it!

noah's first hibachi experience

we unexpectedly found ourselves getting hibachi recently.  it's been years since we've had hibachi and noah has never had it, so it was a fun experiment to see if he would like it or not.  he was really into the flames at first and then ending up holding on to me for dear life, but he watched and was intrigued.  he chef gave him a blow up prince crown (that they give people for birthdays) so he liked that!

new gloves in time for spring!

we looked all over for kid-sized gardening gloves for noah for when the weather gets nicer because he loves to help us outside and he wore my gloves last year.  we ordered a pair on amazon and he was excited to check them out when they arrived.

birthday celebrations

with cupcakes in hand, we descended on ryan's parents' house on friday for a little birthday gathering for ryan's mom.  noah enjoyed seeing everyone, eating sandwiches, sampling the cupcakes he baked, playing with grandma's bowls/spoons, and hunting all around the house for easter eggs!

we never got a chance to celebrate ryan's mom's birthday back in march, but we did get an opportunity to have a little impromptu celebration on friday.

noah helped me make cupcakes to take to grandma's house and he really enjoyed making them, decorating them, and then eating them too!

lots of shows lately

we have had lots of shows lately and we have a bunch more coming up.  one of the shows this past weekend was a buddy holly / ritchie valens / big bopper / elvis tribute.  there was some wild musical instrument playing by the musicians for sure!

i imagine that if noah ever played the upright bass, he would play it upside down like this guy!

i don't know if many other 2 year olds know the difference between a hand saw, a table saw, a miter saw, and a gig saw . . . but this one does!

i truly don't know why we spend money on toys when he just wants dad's tools all the time.

leaf clean up

the kid is obsessed with cleaning up leaves in the yard.  sometimes he wants a rake and sometimes he wants to pick them up individually one-by-one . . . then there are times he wants mom and dad to pick them up while he supervises.  excuse me, sir!
