nyc: the east river ferry

when we left brooklyn on saturday, we decided to ride the east river ferry back to manhattan.  we had never taken the ferry before, and it was a nice change from taking the subway.

we boarded the ferry at the north williamsburg terminal in brooklyn and rode it to east 34th street terminal in midtown manhattan.  along the way, the ferry stopped at greenpoint and long island city.

since the weather was nice, we sat on the top open-air deck.  it was a fun ride, and the views were great.  it was so neat to see both manhattan and brooklyn from the middle of the east river.
