the sweetest thank you

i love teaching dance and had a great time choreographing the dances for my classes for our holiday dance recital.  in addition to choreographing for my classes, i was asked to choreograph a solo for the dancer who was portraying the ghost of christmas future in "a christmas carol."  it was a really fun one to do because it was dark and moody and sounded like something from a halloweeen soundtrack.

the dancer i got to work with was absolutely lovely and such a hard worker.  her and i are kindred spirits, and she really reminds me a lot of a younger version of myself.  along the way i got to know her mom who is around my age and such a sweetheart.  it was such a nice surprise to open facebook the other day and find this photo along with this message from her mom . . .

so incredibly sweet!

love, laurie

Wow, you are a perfect role model for her. You are a very compassionate teacher. It is so nice that the two of you get along. Make sure the owner of the studio see that post.

What a lovely message to put on Facebook. It must make you feel good that you were able to help your student grow in skill and confidence in her dancing. Keep up the good work!
