did you know that when ryan and i were younger, we both wanted to be marine biologists at one point? although neither of us grew up to pursue marine biology as a career, we both still love marine life and the ocean. we're really excited that today is world oceans day and that this year's theme is healthy oceans, healthy planet.
for years, ryan and i have been passionate about using reusable bags instead of disposable plastic bags, so today we're celebrating world oceans day by spreading the word about the better bag challenge.
plastic trash is a huge problem for our oceans, and 80% of the plastic trash in our oceans comes from land. keeping plastics out of our oceans is important for the safety of all types of ocean animals.
to help out, you can either eliminate or reduce your own use of plastic bags. remember, individual actions add up! let's all work together to keep plastic bags out of our oceans so that we have beautiful oceans and healthy marine life to enjoy for years to come!
