autumn biking

it's no secret that we love biking.  we try to fit in as many bike rides as we can through the spring, summer, and fall, because we miss it so much during the winter.  every single day this past week was cold, overcast, dreary, and rainy.  the weather was not conducive for biking at all.  so, when sunday came around this weekend and the weather was glorious and sunny we wasted no time loading the bikes up on the car and heading for our favorite local bike trail.

we have so many great bike trails in the area where we live.  our very favorite trail has been getting a bit of a make over the past few weeks, as crews have been working to widen it and to pave it.  we heard that the work was done, and we couldn't wait to go check it out.  they did a great job and it's even better than it was before!  they also added several cute little wooden bird houses along the trail and built a brand new deck overlook that extends over the river!

it was so nice to be able to bike in the crisp autumn air on sunday, seeing the leaves on the trees changing colors, and hearing the crunch of the fallen leaves under our bike tires!

love, laurie

The path with all the fallen leaves looks very nice. You will have some great trips this year with the beautiful leaves.

C Zuck - This trail is part of the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail that runs from Jessup to Archbald. Here is the website: http://www.lhva.org/greenways-trails/
